Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist

  • Job Summary:
  • The Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist serves as the primary consultant for providing comprehensive services to children with visual impairments in the school setting. The O&M serves as the specialist for establishing or maintaining one’s position and mobility, as in the process of moving safely and efficiently, within their environment.
  • Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • - Bachelor’s Degree required

  • - Valid Type 10 Certificate in Blind and Partially Seeing with O & M Endorsement OR AER Certification

  • - Relevant experience or working knowledge of orientation and travel skills (preferred)

  • - Pediatric or school-based experience (preferred)

  • Location:
  • Arlington, Mansfield, Fort Worth, Crowley, and DeSoto, TX
  • - Remote, PRN, and/or Campus-Based positions
